Project Overview
Ticket to Curiosity is an interactive exhibit design project developed with the Peace in Practice initiative. Through anonymous student stories shared across multiple campus locations, the exhibit invites participants to engage with perspectives and experiences different from their own. By transforming storytelling into a journey of discovery, the project encourages curiosity and empathy throughout the campus community.
Design Approach
My role in this project was leading the exhibit design, visual identity, and layout design. My goal was to create an engaging experience and encourage students to visit each exhibit location. Because the project was spread across multiple locations, it was important that the visual system and wayfinding elements made the route easy to follow while maintaining a consistent experience from one exhibit to the next. Working alongside illustrator Adeline Ross, we developed stories that combined narrative storytelling with real quotes from anonymous student experiences. The visual identity was designed to support these stories and encouraged curiosity and reflection. Through a system of signage, environmental graphics, and supporting materials, the exhibit guided participants through a story-driven journey while fostering empathy and connection across the campus community. The project was met with strong engagement, with visitors actively interacting with the exhibits and nearly all accompanying zines and buttons being taken from each location.
